Meet the 2021 Acura TLX

Introducing the all-new 2021 Acura TLX performance luxury sedan coming September 28th and TLX Type S arriving Spring 2021.

The all-new 2021 Acura TLX is here. You have ringside seats to the main event as Acura rages out of the corner and redefines everything the brand is about with a vehicle that stands alone from the pack. Hailed as the most advanced Acura ever, the new TLX is built with pure inspiration that's forged by a dominant race pedigree and a bold vision for the future where drivers can experience pure emotion, total exhilaration, and an unrestricted extension of self as they launch into every apex. The TLX has a seat open for you at Phil Smith Acura if you're ready to take control.

2021 Acura TLX Redesign. Bold. And Beautiful.

There's a moment of stillness right before any race-car fires to life. Everything is precision-tuned. Everything is purpose-built. Everything is waiting to do what it has been designed to do, and that's win. Then you hit the ignition. In an instant of pure creation, the rotation assemblies spin, drawing compressed fuel and air through the induction chamber. The combustion cycle initiates and explodes out of the vehicle as an echo of the machines' pure potential. The light is about to turn green, and the rest is up to you. No. This isn't only found in the TLX Type-S. This is true for all 2021 TLX models and this is your lineup:

  • The TLX
  • The TLX Tech
  • The TLX A-Spec
  • The TLX Platinum Elite
  • The TLX Type S

When we think about the all-new TLX redesign, it's hard to summarize what's new, because everything is. Starting from the beginning, all TLX models will offer drivers a greater shoulder room, headroom, legroom, and comfort-seating position. From there, every TLX benefits from 1st-class forward seating, integrated dynamics, Jewel-Eye LED headlights, LED taillights, a 10.2" information display center, advanced Acura Watch, race-level braking, an aluminum/stamped-steel body, Acura's most rigid & versatile frame, advanced touchpad controls, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. With five variants to work with from this incredible foundation, you are destined to find the TLX you've been dreaming about.

2021 Acura TLX Interior & Specs

Taking on a Monday will never be the same. Yes, the completely redesigned interior is driver-centric, but any passengers riding along will enjoy enhanced rear passenger room with the forward passenger able to take advantage of the dual-cockpit design. Like nature, the redesign of the TLX interior provides comfort, well-being, and a sense of awe.

Each TLX has 12-way forward seating with 4-way lumbar controls as standard with advanced 16-way sport-seating available. Ambient light is included across the lineup with model-specific coloring but a configurable ambient lighting system is also available with 27 color schemes named after legendary driving locations (we will let you discover those names for yourself)!

Two heavyweights return to the TLX lineup, with the popular A-Spec nameplate branching out to become a model all its own (as opposed to a specifications pack on the 1st generation). The Type-S, a model which almost needs no introduction, takes these next-generation TLX advancements to an even higher level, so let's take a look at how this precision-crafted luxury sedan is infused with super-car inspired performance.

The A-Spec TLX represents the entire TLX model lineup with its turbocharged 272HP 2.0L 4cyl engine. Power is sent to the wheels through a specially designed 10-speed automatic transmission with super-tall primary gears enabling launches off the line while short-throw gearing provides an effortlessly sensual highway drive. The A-Spec is the only TLX to feature its own dual-tone interior color combination as well as a distinctive black design exterior pack.

Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive is standard, as is an upgraded, heavy-duty 10-speed automatic transmission. This power is kept under control with the NSX inspired electro-servo braking system.

While this system is found on all TLX models, the 4-piston Brembo brakes is exclusive to the Type S. Model-specific wheels are also NSX derivatives, and the stunning Light-Orchid interior leather pack will only be found in this model. Enhanced electrically tuned steering is also specific to this model as well as a programmable driver mode that allows you to specify engine tuning, suspension damping, transmission shifting, and interior lighting, to your specification.
